Xinlitun: A Bold Display Font for Eye-Catching Campaigns

It was a typical Thursday morning when I needed to finalize the visuals for an upcoming seasonal sale campaign. The client wanted something that would stand out on social media feeds, digital ads, and email promotions. That’s when I reached for Xinlitun—a display font with a unique spark that felt just right for the project.

Xinlitun is a bold and beautiful display font that brings energy and personality to any design. It has a playful yet professional feel, making it perfect for campaigns that need to catch attention without sacrificing style. Its thick strokes and slightly rounded edges give it a modern yet approachable look, which makes it ideal for promotional content that aims to be both eye-catching and readable.

How Xinlitun Fitted Into My Campaign Workflow

I started by designing the main banner for the sale. The headline needed to pop against a bright background, and Xinlitun delivered exactly that. I used it for the title “Winter Sale: Up to 50% Off!” and paired it with a clean sans serif font for the supporting text. The contrast worked well, ensuring the message was clear and easy to read even from a distance.

Next, I moved on to Instagram posts. For the first post, I created a graphic with a bold Xinlitun headline over a dark image. The font’s visibility was excellent, and it helped draw the viewer’s eye directly to the message. I also tested it in a few different color variations to see how it performed on light and dark backgrounds. In every case, Xinlitun maintained its legibility and visual appeal.

When designing YouTube thumbnails, I used Xinlitun for the title of the video series. The font’s strong presence made the thumbnail more engaging, especially since it was competing with other videos in a fast-scrolling feed. I found that using it in combination with a contrasting color helped improve click-through rates compared to previous thumbnails with more traditional fonts.

Using Xinlitun Across Different Campaign Elements

Xinlitun proved to be versatile across various campaign elements. Here are some examples of where it shined:

One thing I noticed was that Xinlitun works best for short headlines, callouts, and decorative titles rather than long blocks of text. It adds flair and impact but isn’t suited for dense information or tiny text sizes. This makes it a great choice for headlines and subheadings but less ideal for body copy or small-scale details.

Readability and Design Considerations

For mobile screens and small previews, I tested Xinlitun at various sizes and found that it remained legible down to a certain point. However, I recommend avoiding it for text smaller than 16px to maintain clarity. On dark backgrounds, the font’s bold weight ensured good visibility, while on light backgrounds, it still maintained its visual punch.

Font pairing was another consideration. I found that combining Xinlitun with a clean sans serif font like Helvetica or Arial created a balanced look, especially for digital ads and website headers. For a more artistic touch, pairing it with a script font or handwritten type added a creative edge to quote graphics and Instagram Stories.

Before finalizing any campaign, I always check the included styles, alternates, ligatures, and weights. Xinlitun offered several variations that allowed for subtle adjustments in tone and emphasis. It also supported multiple languages, which was important for a global campaign. Commercial licensing was clearly outlined, giving me confidence in using it for client projects and branded content.

In summary, Xinlitun is a powerful display font that adds a unique spark to any campaign. Whether you're designing a product teaser, a webinar banner, or a seasonal sale graphic, this font brings boldness and creativity to your visuals. As a designer, I’ve found it to be a reliable asset in my toolkit—one that helps elevate the impact of every design I work on.
